It’s Hard Being Holy

It’s Hard Being Holy
It’s hard being holy. It’s hard taking the high road. It’s hard to forgive others for their wrongdoings towards you. It’s hard biting your tongue. It’s hard letting God handle your battles.
“As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance.” – Peter 1:14
“But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do;” – Peter 1:15
“For it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.” – Peter 1:16
“Speak to all the congregation of the people of Israel and say to them, You shall be holy, for I the Lord your God am holy.” – Leviticus 19:2
It’s hard praying for evildoers. It’s hard loving those who hate you and do wrong to you. It’s hard to love and forgive your enemies. It’s hard to love people who hate you.
It’s hard to not take physical action against people who try your patience.
What Does It Mean To Live Holy?
In order to live holy, we must deliberately separate ourselves and be distinct from those that do not know Christ. We cannot act and behave as those who do not know Christ. We cannot speak as those who do not know Christ.
